A compilation of my favorite paintings from an advanced painting course I took. There are at least twenty other paintings leftover, but these were the ones I felt were the most effective.
Matisse Studies - A trio of closeups of a Matisse painting that we'd started the class with. We weren't allowed to use color, so these are all grayscale.
Still Life - Some quick paintings that were done of objects around the room. I'm particularly happy with the jars full of paintbrushes, and really enjoyed getting to use as much color as I wanted.
Skull Studies - I ended up choosing the skull as a motif for me to focus on, using a holographic black mug as my reference. It was nice to use a repetitive motif, as it gave me more time to focus on how I was painting rather than the subject matter.
Blue Studies - A small series of paintings where we had to choose orange objects, and paint them only using blue.
